Chikki has worked on multiple award winning productions (including nominations for a BAFTA and two Emmies) for TV series and films as a local producer. She is an active story hunter and passionate advocate for promoting the diversity of Japanese culture and its people. With Chikki, you will discover a side of Japan like you have never seen or heard before.
Chikkimedia was founded in 2011 by Chikayo Morijiri, after over 20 years of production experience working for both Japanese and international networks and news outlets. Many clients agree that Chikki is one of Japan's most prominent fixers and bilingual producers.

Cherry “Mr.Cherry” Yoshitake Comedian
Mr. Cherry is a Japanese comedian, who holds the highest number of Guinness World Records in Japan. He currently holds 22 world records, such as "Most walnuts crushed by sitting down in 30 seconds" and "Most jello eaten with chopsticks in one minute,” to name a few. His attempts were noticed around the world, and has been invited to the British television show, CBBC’s "Officially Amazing" for three consecutive seasons. He has also attracted attention for a documentary by Vice, in which a television crew followed him attempting the challenges to break world records. Rise and Rise, he never stop challenging records!!!
Nobutaka “Taka” Shiramasa Filmmaker/Director
Taka is an experienced cameraman who has a solid background as a cinema director and photographer. Taka began his career as a lighting specialist and now works as a renowned cameraman for international and national films as well as commercials and television shows. His work for Chikkimedia includes a BAFTA nominated CBBC show "Officially Amazing Seasons 1 and 2", as well as news segments for "VICE News" and "VICE on HBO". Taka is an intelligent, flexible and autonomous filmmaker that you want to have in your team, regardless of the production.
Momo Nagayama Production assistant
Momo has a great passion for meeting people and things and introduce them to people all over Japan and the world. Momo is also a junior detective at Chikkimedia and can find any useful information to work with you to create a great piece of work!
Kohei Kawai Transport and Security Expert
Kohei was trained as a bodyguard in the United States when he was young. He is also an experienced driver. Despite his sturdy pace, Kohei drives cautiously and is a trusted person who volunteers when given logistics in Japan. Despite his limited understanding of English, he can carry a light conversation and supports us with a big heart!
We covered the trial with Australia's 7NEWS in the case of Donna Nelson, a grandmother from Perth, Australia, who was convicted of importing methamphetamine into the country. Throughout the trial, Ms Nelson constantly maintained her innocence, claiming that she had been the victim of a so-called ‘romance scam’ and had been framed as a courier without her knowledge. However, after a jury trial, she was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison. Although the case was not widely reported in Japan, we visited the court and witnessed the entire fight by the defence team and prosecution.
