A JAPANESE SYMBOL OF STRONG WILL, LUCK, AND PERSEVERANCE.
Our company logo represents the spirit of the monk DARUMA.
Daruma is seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck.
It reflects the spirit "Nanakorobi Yaoki" meaning "Fall down seven times, get up eight"

PRODUCTION SERVICES
Pre-production - Research, planning, location scouting, and casting. Filming permits and permissions. Travel and visa arrangements.
On Location - Local Crew: Producers and production managers, camera operators and DP's, Sound, lighting experts, security, location managers, drivers, legal supervisors, interpreters.
Post-Production - Editors, colorers, translation and subtitling services, footage delivery and FTP services.
MEDIA SOLUTIONS
Media sales and acquisitions - Footage and archival licensing, footage partnerships. Localisation services (translation and dubbing).

Chikkimedia is partnered with a number of companies in Japan who work with us to provide the most comprehensive selection of services available. From arranging personal and private security, to renting equipment and local housing, to booking vehicle fleets, we ensure that your needs are met.
Filming in a Post Covid-19 Era

Japan doubled its cap on daily arrivals to the country to 20,000 since June 1st 2022, yet you still need a business visa to enter Japan. Please bear in your mind it will take at least 6 weeks to get a visa and need to have enough time to prepare this application.
We only sponsor production partners.
Hope this entry restriction will change soon in the future. -
Our goal is to make a good show, and there is always challenges when it comes to the remote shoot. Our experienced filming team provide services your needs. We can help research, pre-production, location scout, filming, interpreting, interviewing and archive research.

In Japan, we still wear mask and need to have quarantine when you get covid-19. Safety is the number one policy in my company, and we have the solid preparation and rules in order to prevent any infection. We have the medic team standby and will give you the best choice.

Since pandemic, Chikki worked remotely from Yae island in Okinawa, and met incredible indigenous people there, they have their own tongue and their unique life style, which even Japanese might not be told in our text books. We would like to share about this experience and stories from them.
